The Branch "Nazarbayev Intellectual school of Physics and Mathematics in Semey" AEO "Nazarbayev Intellectual schools" conducts a city seminar for teachers of English "Innovative approaches to teaching English." On April 17^th, 2012

Presenters at the seminar: teachers of English at NIS, foreign teachers from the UK, the USA and Canada.

9.25-5.10 – Demonstration lessons of foreign teachers

10.20 - 11.00 – Demonstration lessons of foreign teachers

11.05-11.45 – Workshops of teachers of English at NIS

11.50-12.40 – Theatrical staging of Bernard Shaw’s

"Pygmalion" with participation of foreign teachers and teachers of English

at NIS.

INFORMATION LETTER

The Branch "Nazarbayev Intellectual school of Physics and Mathematics in Semey" AEO "Nazarbayev Intellectual schools" announces the II Olympiad in English «Discovery». Direction – Country Studies. This year the Olympiad’s material is on the theme "The United States of America."

Contest for students of the 5^th form is on the theme "Well-known facts about the USA", 6-7 forms – on the theme "General facts about the USA", 8-9 forms -  on the theme "Geography and History of the USA". Each school may submit a team of 5 people (one student from each of the forms).

The Olympiad will be held on April 21^st, 2012. The beginning of the competition is at 9.00 o’clock. Registration of participants of the Olympiad - 8.30 - 9.00 o’clock.
